Gain a good understanding of the principles of organic vegetable growing and an action plan for your home vegetable patch.
The morning session will cover the benefits of growing food organically, planning your patch, seed sowing, planting and bringing to harvest. During the afternoon there will be a practical hands on seed sowing session and an organic vegetable patch quiz. There will be plenty of time for questions and you will go away with pots of sown vegetable seeds to plant out at home. There will also be a follow on ‘Extending the Season – Organic Vegetable Growing in Winter’ workshop on the 18 August.
