This course introduces the basics of Permaculture Design. We hope you will leave full of information and inspiration with a good overview of what Permaculture is and the potential it has. It will be two days packed with theory, practicals, design and an exploration of some of the many applictions. It is also a chance to meet like minded people.
Excellent grounding for anyone involved in the Transition movement , Permaculture offers a perspective on all aspects of building a sustainable future, it encourages us to use our individual skills, knowledge and interests, whilst drawing on traditional wisdom, science and our innate ability to observe and learn from the world around us.

Manor Barn

Venue Information: 

For the first weekend, also an Introductory weekend we will be based at the Manor Barn, Centre for Peace and Personal Development. Joke and Richard Murray grow a lot of their own food: vegetables, honey, goat milk and eggs. They make biodiesel from waste cooking oil. Richard had got the Canterbury Pound ready to launch. Joke runs the Peoplecare side of the project with Yoga, therapies and many other things. It is in a comfortable, beautifully restored barn.
