Establishing a Forest Garden Practical Course

Course Type:
Specialist - Forest gardening
Summary:

A rare opportunity to not only learn about the theory behind forest gardening, but also to participate in the planting of one at a developing permaculture site on the edge of beautiful Dartmoor. Please note: This is a course unlikely to be repeated at this venue as the planting is a one-off activity.

This practical hands-on course will inform & inspire participants to plan, establish and maintain a forest garden.

The five day course will cover:
•A day of forest garden theory (& site visit to Martin Crawford's superb forest garden).
•A day of designing the forest garden layout, using permaculture principles.
•Half a day of tree planting & after care tuition.
•A day of planting out the trees & shrubs.
•Additional sessions on pruning trees & shrubs, plus propagation techniques.
•And much, much more!
